WINDSOR CHARTER TOWNSHIP

RESOLUTION NO. 23-01

WHEREAS, Havenpark Communities owns and operates a drinking water system serving Windsor Estates of Dimondale LLC, located at 6661 N Canal Road, Section 9, T3N, R3W; and,

WHEREAS, Havenpark Communities possesses the ability and willingness to continue effective operation and maintenance of said system; and

WHEREAS, Windsor Charter Township recognizes the need for effective and continued operation and maintenance of said system to protect the public health; and

WHEREAS, Windsor Charter Township deems it impractical for the Township to own, operate, and administer this particular drinking water supply at this time, but Lansing Board of Water and Light is extending a public drinking water supply system into this area of the Township, which is projected to be complete in the next two years;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Windsor Charter Township refuses to accept ownership of or operation, maintenance, and administrative responsibilities for said particular drinking water supply. Windsor Charter Township endorses the application of Havenpark Communities to continue these responsibilities under state permit until such time as there is an available public drinking water supply system for the property.
