 REGULAR MEETING – MAY 12, 2021

The regular meeting of the Windsor Charter Township Planning Commission was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairperson Holtz.

 

Present:  Holtz, Johnson, Pray, Sabourin, Fabijancic and Bowen

Video/Teleconference:  Collins

Absent: None

Also Present:  Planning Consultant Pete Preston, Asst Chief Fabijancic and Clerk Rumsey

 

Johnson moved and Bowen seconded to approve the agenda.  Carried 7-0.

 

 Sabourin moved and Johnson seconded to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written.  Carried 7-0.

 

Reports:

      Board of Trustees: Approved Terry Haines Special Use Permit and an update was given on the cemetery mausoleum.

 

      Board of Appeals:  None

 

      Board of Review:  None

 

      Reports & Announcement:  None

 

Hear Public present on agenda items:  None

 

New Business:

An annual review was conducted for New Genetic LLC Special Use Permit.  Pray moved and Sabourin seconded to approve renewal of New Genetic LLC Special Use Permit for another year, as they have met requirements.  New expiration date 5-22-2022.

Ayes:  Fabijancic, Sabourin, Johnson, Holtz, Pray, Bowen and Collins

Nays:  None

New Genetic, LLC Special Use Permit Renewal Approved:  7-0.

 

An annual review was conducted for Bay County Holdings Special Use Permit.  Johnson moved and Holtz seconded to approve renewal of Bay County Holdings Special Use Permit for another year, as they have met requirements.  New expiration date 5-22-2022.

Ayes:  Fabijancic, Sabourin, Johnson, Holtz, Pray, Bowen and Collins

Nays:  None

Bay County Holdings Special Use Permit Renewal Approved:  7-0.

 

Johnson moved and Fabijancic seconded to set a Public Hearing for a change of zoning request from B-1 (Business) to M-1 (Industrial) on 5091 Lansing Road at the next regular meeting on June 9, 2021 at 7:00 pm.  Carried 7-0.

 

Unfinished Business:

Continued discussion on the updating of zoning ordinance.  Started working on the master plan, analyzing the Strength Weakness Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) of the township.
